Must Do's
Book a stay at the Chestnut Charm B&B, a charming 1898 Victorian country inn, and enjoy a weekend of exploring all Atlantic has to offer. Take some time to walk along our main street, Chestnut Street, which is a bustling center for businesses, and a beautiful centerpiece to our community. Be sure to stop by the Rock Island Depot and American Legion Memorial Building to enjoy a walkthrough of the Military Museum, Military Library and Atlantic History Center exhibits.

Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
A unique pizzeria with a Danish twist, Flour Mill offers handcrafted pizzas and a distinctive menu that blends classic flavors with Scandinavian inspiration in a warm, inviting setting. Hop in the car and traverse Historic U.S. Route 6 to discover some of the area's best rural views. Then enjoy a delicious meal at Downtowner CafePlaza Azteca or Coffeegirl. A lively sports-themed restaurant and bar serving fresh, flavorful dishes. Touchdown Beer & Grill is the perfect place to catch the game, enjoy great food, and experience a fun, energetic atmosphere.

Community Highlights
The Atlantic community is home to 7,500 folks and we have big plans for where we're heading. In Atlantic, you'll find signs of a thriving community, continually seeking to better serve its residents and visitors. You'll find everything you need here - our diversity of businesses makes us a regional hub for shopping, health care, history, outdoor adventure and other services.

Opened in May 2025, Atlantic’s new splash pad is a family-friendly attraction designed for all ages to cool off and play during the summer months. It’s a vibrant addition to our community and a great stop for visitors traveling through the area

In the winter, Chestnut Street comes aglow with thousands of white lights strung in the trees and along the rooftops. Throughout Atlantic, you'll find that feeling of a traditional Iowa hometown.
