1. Klopfenstein Amphitheater
Located in Marion's Lowe Park, the amphitheater features giant metal burr oak leaves forming a dramatic canopy for the stage which accommodates local bands, high school plays, regional performers and even weddings.
2. Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park
At the foot of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge in Council Bluffs, you’ll find this 90-acre public park, complete with amphitheater space suitable for concerts and outdoor movies. The Great Lawn features an interactive light display that illuminates the area with colorful changing patterns.
3. McGrath Amphitheatre
Located on the west bank of the Cedar River and within walking distance of downtown Cedar Rapids, this amphitheatre hosts community programs and nationally touring concerts.
4. Fred Maytag Bowl
Constructed in 1936 by the Maytag Family, this venue in Newton hosts the annual Bowlful of Blues, produced by the South Skunk Blues Society, and a Summer Concert Series.

Enjoy concerts from land or the lake on summer weekends at Preservation Plaza at Arnolds Park Amusement Park in Okoboji. Arrive early and enjoy the rides at Arnolds Park including the Legend, one of the top 10 wooden roller coasters in the country.
7. RiverLoop Amphitheatre
Catch free Friday night concerts in Waterloo at this venue on the banks of the Cedar River near the Waterloo Center for the Arts. A nearby splash pad and play area are perfect for the kids.
8. Avenue of the Saints Amphitheater
Billed as the state’s largest, this St. Charles amphitheater holds up to 18,000 people. Events include the Big Country Bash and Hinterland Music Festival.
9. Surf Ballroom
The historic ballroom where big bands played and Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper performed their last concert is a Rock and Roll Landmark and still hosts multiple concerts.
