Iowa River Water Trail

Long, quiet floats are this water trail’s specialty, taking you from bustling Iowa City and through the small towns of Hills, Columbus Junction, Wapello and Oakville before ending at the Mississippi River. The Iowa River from Iowa City to the Mississippi includes 72 miles of unobstructed paddling, beautiful scenery, wildlife and access points with amenities.

Trail begins at Sturgis Ferry Park in Iowa City.
