Sioux City Farmer's Market

Running from May through October, this community farmers’ market brings people together to enjoy the bounty of local produce alongside delicious baked goods and beautifully handcrafted items. Located just west of the Tyson Events Center downtown, it features over thirty vendors, including nearly 20 area farmers showcasing everything from fresh beef, microgreens and veggies to flowers, plants, honey and canned goods. Everything sold at the market is either grown or handmade by the vendors, making it a truly unique shopping experience that you won’t want to miss.
Downtown Live
Kick off the weekend in style by attending Sioux City’s premiere summer concert series, Downtown Live, which is held every Friday from mid-June through mid-August. Grab your lawn chair, friends and family and set up camp on the lawn of the Sioux City Public Museum to catch two hours of first-class live entertainment. The music starts at 7 and the line-ups features everything from blues tunes to alternative/indie bands and folksy Midwest groups.
Make a weekend of it and book a stay at the legendary Warrior Hotel, located just blocks away. The 1930s art deco building boasts luxurious amenities including a rooftop bar, full-service spa and a bowling alley. Indulge in delicious craft brews and woodfired pizzas, burgers, pastas and more at Marto Brewing Company, located just a half-mile walk (or drive) away.

Experience rock star treatment at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. It boasts two music venues with killer line-ups every year. Battery Park is one of the area's best outdoor amphitheaters, featuring artful architecture and headliner entertainment. Or enjoy a more intimate experience at Anthem, whose small stage welcomes weekly live music and entertainment acts from local and national legends.
Be sure to also book a hotel room for a stress-free weekend. The Hard Rock Hotel boasts historic architecture and rock n’ roll themed décor. Then, test your luck at the casino’s collection of games, take a dip in the outdoor pool, shop Hard Rock merchandise or grab a bite and brew at the onsite restaurants and bars. This free family-centered art festival has celebrated the visual and performing arts for almost 30 years. Join the fun on the Art Center’s campus, where you can tour its facilities and exhibits or enjoy live music, kids’ zones, food trucks and booths selling locally made arts and crafts. It's held annually in early September.
Wrap up your evening by venturing out to The Diving Elk and sampling from the revolving craft beer and cocktails list. Catch both days by booking a stay at the Hard Rock Hotel or The Warrior Hotel, both of which are within walking distance.
