Freedom Rock artist Ray "Bubba" Sorensen created Wapello County's monument in 2014. It includes a Gold Star Banner, American flag, bald eagle, Tuskegee Airmen, National Guard Unit 833rd and Naval Air Station Ottumwa. It is located outside Bridge View Center on Church Street and is available for viewing all year.
