Veteran's Park

This park, located near the intersection of Highway 18 and Highway 169, is a great picnic spot and play space for families. One special feature is the track for radio-controlled race cars, and races are hosted at the track every year. The enclosed shelter house can be reserved online through the City of Algona and is a popular spot for family gatherings, company picnics and many other events. Previously called North Park, this 20-acre park offers a variety of features, including: enclosed shelter house for rent, restrooms, open picnic shelters, playground equipment, ball diamonds (3 diamonds, 2 lighted), basketball court, sand volleyball courts (3), river access, rugby field, radio control race car track and an enclosed dog park.
