The Shelf

The Shelf is new to historic downtown Independence and brings something for everyone. One side of the double storefront is dedicated to new fiction books for all ages from all your favorite authors. Choose a title from our new release table, grab a favorite from the seasonal themed table or shop the shelves that line the store. The other side of the store is packed with great gift ideas. We offer a selection of kids toys including the popular Melissa and Doug toy line and Warmies stuffed animals. Shop from our puzzle or activity book selection to keep your mind and hands busy. Grab a gift and book for a baby shower or baptism. We also have gifts for teachers, grandparents, graduations, weddings, memorials or just because. We have a good selection or wooden signs by Kendrick made in Edgewood, Iowa. You can grab a soy candle or seasonal home decor sprinkled throughout the store.
