State Theatre

Show Contact Information +
The State Theatre has been a part of Holstein since 1927, when it replaced an earlier theater where silent movies had been played. The site changed hands several times over the years and was rebuilt as a curved quonset just after World War II, opening in September 1948. It is one of only 10 surviving theaters of its style in the country. The State has been lovingly renovated and converted to a digital cinema, now run by volunteers, showing second run films and classics.
