Richardson's Point / Mormon Trail

Richardson's Point has been dedicated by the National Park Service as a significant historical site along the Pioneer Mormon Trail that traverses the U.S. This location is where the first deaths of the Mormon Exodus took place. The property is owned and maintained by the Klodt family in Van Buren County, Iowa. The site is open year-round with free access to the public.
