Quarry Springs Park & Recreational Area

Quarry Springs Park is 480 acre nature park three interconnected lakes that are a prime fishing, canoeing, and kayaking spot in Central Iowa. The park offers primitive camping spots and hiking trails. The park was once a quarry that has been transformed into a beautiful park by local volunteers. Future RV Camping, a shower house, and a disc golf course are currently being developed. The park is 1 mile north of historic Downtown Colfax which offers restaurants, groceries, and shopping. The park is also conveniently located next to I-80 and is only a 25 minute drive from the Des Moines Metro!
