Prairie Farmer Recreational Trail - Calmar Trailhead

The Calmar Trailhead to the Prairie Farmer Recreational Trail is in the center of town adjacent to an ice cream stand, next to convenience store, across the street from an authentic Mexican restaurant and a popular local coffee shop, Euphoria coffee shop. It is just down the street from Smokey Dough restaurant, which has indoor and outdoor seating and specializes in wood fired pizza, broasted chicken and other local favorites. The Prairie Farmer Trail is an easy, relatively level, twenty mile paved trail that passes through scenic woodlands, restored prairie and agricultural land in Northeast Iowa. Calmar is one of three communities along this trail and a great starting point or ending point. The other communities include Ridgeway and Cresco, Iowa.
