Paramount Theatre

The Paramount Theatre has been entertaining audiences in Cedar Rapids for nearly 100 years. Listed on the National Register of Historic places, located in the heart of downtown, the theatre opened its doors in 1928. An example of the vaudeville and movie palaces of the 1920s, you will find an opulent frame to modern culture and a slice of the past welcoming today’s audiences. Today, the original marquee welcomes you and the theatre hosts a wide array of entertainment from ballets, operas and touring concerts to comedians, movies and Broadway shows. The theatre is also home to Iowa’s premier symphony orchestra, Orchestra Iowa.
