Located in the Port of Dubuque along the Mississippi River, the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium offers a 14-acre campus, providing a unique experience with hands-on exhibits, daily history and creature chats, rich river history, special events, and more. Catch a thrilling film in the 4D theater, touch a stingray or a sea urchin, and explore a national landmark, the William M. Black, as you learn about life on the river! Since opening in 2003, nearly 4 million guests from all 50 states and 70 countries have visited the River Museum, and its outreach programming has reached 20,000 people annually.
