Mural Park

Mural Park, located along Main Street/Hwy 18 in downtown Emmetsburg, is envisioned as a vibrant and iconic public gathering space celebrating visual and performance art. Building on the existing murals that surround the park, the redesigned concept creates two distinct areas within the space. The east side features an elevated performance stage with lawn terraces, movable seating, overhead festival lighting, and a striking canopy structure that serves as a signature architectural element. Tiered landscaping and alley-access parking help frame the venue while creating a welcoming entrance. The west side offers a more intimate setting focused on the surrounding murals, complete with shaded green space, new trees, planter boxes, and a decorative water wall with plaque features designed to showcase additional public art opportunities.
