Mud Lake Park is located six miles north of Dubuque, surrounded by the scenic blufflands of the Mississippi River. This river access area offers camping and picnic facilities, along with accessible shower and restroom amenities for a comfortable stay. A boat ramp provides access to both Mud Lake and Mississippi River Pool 11, making it a popular destination for boating and fishing. Additional services—including marine fuel, food, and slip rentals—are available at the adjacent marina. In winter, Mud Lake Park becomes a hub for ice fishing, with access to the quiet backwaters of the Mississippi River.
