Monona County Historical Museum
The Monona County Historical Museum features artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries including a display devoted to the Eskimo Pie which was invented in Onawa; other displays are devoted to antique farm equipment, buggy sleigh and wagons, and 1920's, 1930's and 1940's kitchen displays. The Historical Museum is open (weekends) from Memorial Day through Labor Day and by appointment for groups and special events. The Historical Museum is part of a museum complex in Onawa that includes, the Kiwanis Museum Complex and the Veteran's Memorial Museum & Freedom Rock. Come explore!!!
