Kossuth County Agricultural & Motorsports Museum

Show Contact Information +
Step into a museum that celebrates two things Kossuth County does best: farming and racing. Established in 2013, the museum preserves the rich history of agriculture and motorsports in this part of the county, bringing together artifacts you won't find anywhere else. Explore race cars that once competed on local tracks, complete with trophies and racing memorabilia, alongside a collection of tractors, farm equipment, and tools that tell the story of the region's agricultural roots - including the tractor used by the late Mark Pearson on the original tractor ride. Art lovers will appreciate the original farm-themed paintings by Russell Sonnenberg on display throughout the museum. Don't miss the Benschoter Train Depot, featuring several operational model trains running through unique, hand-built scenery, and the Iowa Racing Hall of Fame Museum featuring an operational racing car simulator. Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 1-4 p.m., April through December, or by appointment. Admission: $5 per person, ages 14 and up Memberships: Starting at $25 per year, up to $1,000.
