Iowisota, LLC (Retreat & Education Center)

The name IOWISOTA is a combination of Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. We are at the point where all three States meet, often called the “Driftless Area” due to its lack of glacial drift deposits. It is a special part of the Midwest… an area rich with water, forests, topography, and so much more. Iowisota is nearly 200 acres of private forest that our family has stewarded for over 50 years. Our intent is to share this resource in a manner that enables visitors to develop a deeper understanding of the ecology of this landscape and a greater appreciation for the wonder of God’s creation. We host retreats and educational events, and welcome guests to stay in one of the four guest bedrooms or in the cabin. We (the Haugens) live on site year-round.
