Built in 1882, at the cost of $20,000, it was known as the Arlington Hotel with 50 keys. Shortly after in 1886 the hotel was purchased by S.R. Howe and it was renamed the Howe Hotel. The last owner that operated as a hotel was Roy Garner who purchased the hotel in 1932 and it was in operations until it was sold again and converted into apartments in the 1950's. In 2023, after several owners, Evon Sallee purchased the hotel and renamed it Hotel Osceola. Currently the hotel is under renovation with an anticipated re-opening date for hotel guests in late 2024/2025.
