Historic Architectural Walking Tour
The Prairie School Architectural Tour is a self-guided tour of the largest group of Prairie School designed homes on a unified site, located in the Rock Crest & Rock Glen area. Architecture designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Burley Griffin, William Drummond, Francis Barry Byrne and other well-known architects.
The Prairie School Tour encompasses 14 blocks and the Historical Tour is an additional 13 blocks beginning at 303 2nd St. SE. in Mason City.
A walking tour guidebook is available for $5 at the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum, The Music Man Square, the Mason City Visitors Information Center and at the Frank Lloyd Wright Stockman House.
Self-guided tours may be enjoyed year-round and are free.
Guided tours are available May through September.
Advance reservations encouraged. Guided tours begin at Wright on the Park Headquarters, located at: 17 S Federal Ave., Mason City.
$10 per person for guided tours; free for educational groups.
