Heart of Iowa Nature Trail - Cambridge Trailhead

The Cambridge Trailhead is located at the intersection of South Vine Street and Center Street, providing easy access to the trail in this small community. Surrounded by riparian and early successional woodlands, the Cambridge Trailhead’s large cottonwood trees provide a shaded and scenic route for users. *The recently paved Heart of Iowa Nature Trail stretches 21 miles from Slater, where it meets the famous High Trestle Trail, eastward 21 miles through Huxley, Cambridge, Maxwell and into Collins on the east. Enjoy expansive nature views, prairie remnants, woodlands and Iowa farmland in "The Heart of Iowa."
