Dedicated in 1988, this small park is a tribute to the memory and ideas of George Washington Carver. A large mural was installed in 2014 to honor the 150th anniversary of Dr. Carver’s birth. The mural, of hand-made ceramic tiles, is named “DREAM BIG DREAMS”. This public art project was a collaboration of local students, area educators/professionals, volunteers, and donors. The mural honors Carver’s love for education, art, nature and his dream to make a better world.
