Floyd of Rosedale Statue

Floyd of Rosedale was originally a prize-winning hog donated by the owner of Rosedale Farms near Fort Dodge and promised to the winner of the University of Iowa/University of Minnesota 1935 football game in an effort to focus the competition on the spirit of the game. A trophy in the shape of Floyd of Rosedale was created and has been passed between the universities since. In 2021, a statue of Floyd of Rosedale was placed to commemorate Floyd near the historic Rosedale Farms.
