FilmScene

FilmScene is Iowa City's nonprofit cinema, with a mission to challenge, inspire, educate, and entertain our diverse communities through the shared discovery of film. Each year we show more than 450 different films, including American independents, acclaimed major releases, documentaries, foreign films, favorites on the big screen, new restorations, deserving revivals, and 35mm and 16mm film presentations. We are more than a movie theater, and our love of the movies goes beyond the screen to filmmaker dialogues, panel discussions, and community events. We are community-supported, mission-driven cinema.
