Central Park

Central Park is a 4.4-acre park that is located near downtown Algona and the Algona Public Library. Central Park features a 2,400 square foot splash pad with a large dump bucket and smaller "tree-style" dump buckets, animals, squirting cannons, and shaded seating areas. The splash pad hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from late spring through early fall, depending on the weather. Check the Parks and Rec Facebook page for opening and closing dates. The park shelter house offers picnic tables, plus four restrooms. The Central Park Skatepark offers quarter pipe, a volcano inside a large bowl, panned benches, a panned over-vert quarter pipe and other street features. Central Park also has a fenced ball diamond, playground equipment, gazebo and a paved walking loop around the perimeter of the park.
