We are located in Independence, Iowa, and welcome anyone who is interested in doing family or local history research. BCGS maintains an extensive archive of obituaries, historic documents, and early publications in the lower level of the Independence City Hall. Use the door on the East side of the building and follow the signs leading down the stairs.
