Show Contact Information +

Truro is located at the southeast corner of Madison County, and has a population of around 490. The town celebrates Town & Country Days every June. It was named after the city of Truro in Cornwall, United Kingdom, by suggestion of the local train conductor, whose hometown was Truro, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The first white settlers came to the Truro area around 1850, mainly from Ohio, and began farming.
