Nestled between the east and west forks of the Des Moines River, Humboldt offers a family aquatic center, Recreation Center, Carnegie library, hometown theater, harness racing, golf and 17 area parks. Bike, hike or ride snowmobiles on the Three Rivers Trail system or enjoy the Des Moines River water trail.

Also a great historic influence on our town, visit and learn about the famous wrestler Frank Gotch. With many areas of interest including one at his old training camp at Bicknell Park stands a bronze statue of Gotch and historic information at the Humboldt County Historical Association.

The City of Humboldt is a great place to live! It is a clean, safe town with wide streets, a dozen parks, three walking trails, and many other amenities for citizens to enjoy. Due to its progressive, pro-development attitude, the city is still growing after 150 years. According to the Census, Humboldt has grown by more than 5% over the last 10 years. Humboldt provides exceptional opportunities for families and businesses alike. With a dozen major employers right in town, residents have a diverse set of employment options in the community. Additionally, the Humboldt Community School District is first class and continues to be a strong pull for new families to the area.
