Eldorado is most well-known for its iconic double church steeple that can be seen from the Goeken Park overlook. Visitors to Eldorado enjoy camping with their children at one the four electrical campsites and many non-electric, picnicking at one of the two shelters, or playing on the playground.

The scenic overlook at Goeken Park is a great picture location, it overlooks many miles of the Tukey River and rolling hills of Northeast Iowa. Eldorado also contains an access point to the Turkey River via the Eldorado Bridge Access, where the next access point is 6.4 river miles downstream, or about a 2 to 3-hour float.
