Winter Night Lights

A new winter experience each night in February in downtown Iowa City is aimed at embracing winter nights. Winter Night Lights is a multi-faceted experience featuring one-of-a-kind light-based installations and unique activations. The installation will feature Ali Hval’s Doodle Trees, downtown’s annual Singing Trees, a new permanent 120-foot alley light canopy, and international artist Amanda Parer's "Intrude" bunny sculptures. Each Friday will include cold-weather silent disco from 6-9 p.m.
