Tomato Tasting at Seed Savers Exchange

Taste, vote, learn, and explore at Tomato Tasting! Join us Saturday, August 15 at Seed Savers Exchange near Decorah, Iowa, to sample dozens of heirloom tomatoes fresh from our gardens. This popular annual event is a can’t-miss opportunity to discover rare varieties and celebrate one of our favorite garden crops. From noon–4 p.m., taste slicers, cooking tomatoes, and snackers, then vote for your favorites in each category. Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. The afternoon will also feature hands-on activities for all ages and free workshops led by Seed Savers Exchange staff. Workshop schedule 1 p.m. — Tomato Seed Saving 2 p.m. — Tomato Seed Starting 3 p.m. — Tomato Growing Techniques The Lillian Goldman Visitors Center will be open from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Please note that the salsa contest will not take place this year.
