Get ready for an electrifying summer of music and community spirit with the Washington Chamber of Commerce’s “Thursday Night Live” 2026 summer concert series! Travel back in time with Emmy Award winning songwriter Jack Norton for a concert of old-time blues and good-time folk music. Oddball ukulele legend Tiny Tim hailed Norton as “the greatest entertainer I have ever seen!” The Minneapolis Star Tribune called Jack “one of the most entertaining acoustic musicians in the Midwest.” His performances are an authentic throwback to a simpler time and bygone era. Join us every Thursday evening at 5 p.m. in downtown Washington for an unforgettable experience filled with live entertainment, delectable food, and a vibrant atmosphere. The event begins with the beloved Washington Farmers Market and the entertainment starts at 5:30 p.m. To check out the weekly features at the Farmers Market, visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WashingtonIAFarmersMarket To check out the season of entertainment, visit: https://washingtoniowa.gov/experience-our-town/special-events-festivals/thursday-night-live/ Following the concert series, stick around for the renowned Washington Municipal Band, whose tradition dates back to 1932. With over 60 members, the Muni Band will continue the festivities with their incredible musical talents starting at 7:45 p.m. (Muni Band season is from June 4 to August 6, no performance on July 23.)
