This Body of Work Reception

This Body of Work is a photography series that explores the intersection of transness, body size, and disability. In a society that continues to medicalize, misunderstand, and “other” these bodies, finding a home in our physical form is often a labor of love and survival. This series is meant to celebrate these individuals and spark conversation around medical treatment, mortality, and society’s skewed perception. Join us for a lovely reception and good conversation in the FilmScene lobby from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., on Monday, March 30th! The reception will be held prior to the screening of Bye Bye Love & TalkBack at FilmScene, benefitting Iowa Trans Mutual Aid Fund. Project by Talya Miller and Anden Lovig.
