The Traer Quilt Experience brings together not only quilt enthusiasts, but young artists in the community and members of the surrounding areas as Ripley UCC, The Traer Historical Museum and the Traer Public Library collaborate on this event. All three venues open at 10 a.m.. Quilt displays, art projects, historical and family exhibits abound. While in Traer, check out Simply Blooming for speciality drinks, Retro Rooster for antiques and collectibles. Climb the Bean Stalk, or "Wind UP" the famous Traer Winding Stairs for one of a kind photo ops. Grab lunch at Ripley from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. or dinner at LaTerraza Mexican Restaurant. Grab your friends and make a day of it in Traer, located conveniently at the intersection of US 63 and IA 8.
