The Hobo Hop Out

September 20, 2025, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Join us for the Hobo Hop Out! We are celebrating the Grand Opening of the Hobo Jungle Historical Site, located one half mile south of Highway 210 on the High Trestle Trial. The site includes a life size hobo silhouette as well as a full color representation of a Northwestern Railroad box car, set on actual rails. The site also includes a bench, a bike rack, and an informational sign explaining the origins of the hobo culture. This site was one of the many "Hobo Jungles" that were prevalent during the years of those who rode the rails. This is a permanent exhibit, so if you miss the festivities, visit anytime. Meet us at the Christianson Shelter in Earl Grimm Park. Parking is available at the Slater tennis courts and the Slater swimming pool parking lots. Ride our tram out to the Hobo Jungle or walk or ride your bike! Information and merchandise will be available at the shelter. Please join us! RAIN DATE IS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 11 A.M. TO 1 P.M.
