Spooktacular Osborne Campout

Spooktacular Campout Campsite Decorating Contest and Lantern-Lit Ghost Story Hike Saturday, October 24th, 6:00 p.m. Osborne Campground - Reservations Required for Contest Participation Clayton County Conservation invites campers to celebrate Halloween at the Spooktacular Campout: Campsite Decorating Contest and Lantern-Lit Ghost Story Hike at Osborne Campground on Saturday, October 24th. Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. Registered campers are encouraged to decorate their campsites and vote for their favorite decorated site. The campsite receiving the most votes will win a free weekend of camping at Osborne Campground during the 2027 season. Campground reservations can be made online at MyCountyParks.com. Participating campers should have their spooky decorations ready for judging by that evening. Following the campsite decorating contest, the evening will continue with a lantern-lit hike through the woods featuring local ghost stories. (All decorations must be temporary and non-destructive. Please do not use any materials that could damage trees, facilities, campsites, or other park property, and remove all decorations before checkout) Osborne Campground is located at Osborne Park on Highway 13, five miles south of Elkader or ten miles north of Strawberry Point.
