Seed Starting Workshop with Seed Savers Exchange

Join Seed Savers Exchange at Heritage Farm for a hands-on seed-starting workshop, Saturday, March 28, 2026, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Location: Heritage Farm, lower barn next to the Lillian Goldman Visitors Center, 3074 North Winn Road, Decorah, Iowa, 52101. We will walk you through the basics of seed selection, seed starting, and transplanting, and offer tips for a successful gardening year. Guests will leave with started seeds and the knowledge on how to care for them until they're ready for transplant. Anyone can learn to grow from seed! Come and get your hands dirty and your seed-starting questions answered. These 40-minute workshops will be held in the lower barn (next to the Lillian Goldman Visitors Center) and will start at: 10:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m. No registration is required, but space is limited. This event is free and open to the public. All ages welcome.
