July Special Summer Sunday - July 12th, 2026 - 2 p.m. - Author Jeff Kluever Author Jeff Kluever recently published his second novel, Marching Home: A Story of Love, War, and Freedom, which tells the story of two men who join the United States Colored Troops during the Civil War and fight at the Battle of New Market Heights. . We have this book for sale in our Granary Gift Shop, as well as a copy donated to the Griswold Public Library. Jeff will present a straight-forward history presentation about the United States Colored Troops, where we follow the stories of two of the men featured in the book. He will also have copies for sale & signing! The house will be also be open for tours from 1-5. Last tour starts at 4:15 The House tour fee is $5 for persons who have high school aged & older. Children are free. Bring your lawn chairs and join us for an interesting learning experience.
