Quilt Show at Reiman Gardens

Reiman Gardens is embracing the artistry of the Midwest this spring with the return of its annual Quilt Show from Friday through Sunday, March 20-22. In partnership with the Iowa Quilters Guild, the Gardens will host a three-day event celebrating the art of quilting through beautiful garden-themed displays. This year’s show will be one of its largest ever, with over 150 quilts on display. Small details can make a grand impression. The show will feature quilts crafted by Midwestern artists and will highlight the connection between textile art and nature. Several quilts will compete for awards sponsored by central Iowa organizations in categories including Big & Small, Garden Theme: We've Got the Biggest Bulbs of Them All!, and Big Sacrifices. On Saturday, March 21, guests can enjoy a variety of local food trucks on-site, including The Outside Scoop, Magoo’s Pizza, and The Bellbottom Cafe. In addition, there will be quilting lectures and the Quilt of Valor Ceremony on Sunday, which honors selected veterans with an awarded quilt. Guests are encouraged to experience the living beauty of Reiman Gardens and explore the 17 acres of outdoor spaces, the tropical Butterfly Wing, and the indoor Conservatory. No preregistration is required. Attendance is free for Reiman Gardens members and ISU students. Standard admission prices apply to the public.
