Pulling Focus Film Festival

Join us as the Pulling Focus African American Film Festival kicks off on Thursday, June 5, with our Festival Premiere at The Last Picture House in Davenport, a boutique theater known for its intimate and thoughtfully designed viewing experience. The evening begins at 5:00 PM with an Opening Reception and Filmmaker Meet & Greet, offering a chance to connect with creators, community members, and fellow film lovers in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. At 6:00 PM, we move into the theater for the premiere screening block, featuring a powerful selection of short films by local, regional, national, and international filmmakers representing the Black Diaspora. Following the screening, stay for an Audience TalkBack and Q&A session, where you’ll hear more about the work, the creative process, and the stories behind the stories. It’s an evening of celebration, conversation, and connection to kick off a weekend of cinematic excellence.
