Oktoberfest began more than 200 years ago in Munich as a public celebration of food, drink, music, and gathering together. We may be far from Germany, but a fall weekend on the farm feels like a pretty good place to borrow the tradition. On September 19th and 20th, the orchard will be well into harvest season, with apples ripening, tractors rolling, and plenty of reasons to spend the afternoon outside. For one weekend, we’re adding pretzels, brats, live music, and a little Oktoberfest spirit to the mix. Grab something good to eat, wander the orchard, sample apples where they grow, and stay awhile.
