MVLCT Presents Darkly Comic: Skin and Bone

Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Theatre (MVLCT) is proud to present their second Eliott Studio Series production of the 2026 season, Skin and Bone by Jacqueline Goldfinger. Performances will take place October 23-24 & 30-31 at 7:30PM and October 25 at 2PM at the First Street Community Center Uptown Theatre. Directed by Carrie Pozdol, Skin and Bone is part Southern Gothic and part twisted family comedy, introducing Midge and Madge, sisters living in rural Florida whose cannibalistic traditions are only the beginning of their family’s strange and unsettling story. Pozdol says, "The biggest theme really is belonging. When the world around us changes and becomes unrecognizable, what does it mean to refuse to adapt and move forward? How do we cope with living in a world where we no longer fit if we don't want to change? If we do want to change, how do we navigate the dynamics of being a part of a family that doesn't? How do we find where we belong when we haven't come from a solid foundation?"
