Loess Hills Prairie Seed Harvest - Old Town Conservation Area

Loess Hills Prairie Seed Harvest Old Town Conservation Area Sunday, October 12 5:30-7:00 p.m. Meet at the east parking lot located at 2317 Mesa Place Missouri Valley, IA 51555 Help hand-harvest prairie seed from remnant Loess Hills prairies to be used for ecological restoration projects in western Iowa. Free and open to the public. All ages are welcome and no experience is necessary. Event will include rugged terrain, so be prepared to hike on steep ground. Seed harvest may be canceled due to weather, so check back on the day of the event if the weather is iffy.
