John Kopecky Day - Kinney Pioneer Museum

It is “John Kopecky Day” on Tuesday – May 19th at the Kinney Pioneer Museum. This is KPM’s newest exhibit celebrating the founder of the Iowa Band Festival. John was a talented professional musician and also the former music teacher and band director at Clear Lake High School. He was also the director of the Clear Lake Municipal Band for over 28 years. In 1932 he made his dream come true and started the North Iowa Band Festival. Event times are from 1 PM to 5 PM.
