Historic Hills Heritage Tour

Join us for two days of presentations and guided tours that illuminate the rich history of Iowa. Explore landmarks such as Iowa’s oldest continually used courthouse in Keosauqua and the iconic American Gothic House in Eldon. Learn about the Native American communities who lived in this region, the experiences of early European American pioneers, and the profound influence of the Mormon Trail on the surrounding landscape. A few historic sites are not wheelchair accessible. Please contact the Historic Hills Scenic Byway with any questions about accessibility. Sunday tours and presentations in Keosauqua and Bentonsport are free to the public. Visitors may purchase Sunday brunch at Hotel Manning upon their arrival. On Monday, enjoy a guided tour of Eldon.
