Vesterheim offers free museum admission and family activities on the second Saturday of every month. The special exhibit Lars Fletre: Resistance, Resilience, Artistry features a remarkable range of artwork by this talented Norwegian-American artist, including sculpture, woodcarving, painting, and glass art. Check out the exhibit from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and then design and create a floral or freehand design on an acrylic coaster inspired by the sandblasted designs of Lars Fletre from 11 am to 2 pm in Hanson Vesterheim Commons. An opening event to celebrate the opening of Lars Fletre: Resistance, Resilience, Artistry will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. with a gallery talk at 2:30 p.m. and refreshments to follow in Hanson Vesterheim Commons. Find out more here. Special exhibits listed here. There’s always something new!
