From bird calls to love songs to country jigs, this program of music with Iowa roots is uniquely curated for children ages 0 and up! Come listen, boogie, and discover musical instruments. Sunday, August 9, 3-4 p.m. at Ames Public Library. Free. Music will be performed by regional professionals: Rachel Walter, violin (Burch Trio, Oak Quartet, Orchestra Iowa) Ari Dubin, violin (former Des Moines Symphony violinist + founder of Rolling Hills Music Festival) Roslyn Green, viola (principal viola Des Moines Symphony) Yeil Park, cello (Arizona Opera, Arizona Philharmonic, Sedona Symphony) -- Rolling Hills Music Festival is a celebration of homegrown classical music in the heart of Iowa. The inaugural season takes place August 6-9, 2026, with five events at five different venues across Ames.
