Join Sydney Marshall of University Museums for an interactive walk through the public art of Iowa State’s campus with the NumbersAlive! book. Look closely to discover mathematical concepts within the public art collection. Perfect for curious minds of all ages, this guided walk turns outdoor art into an experiential math lesson. Look closely at the sculptures. Ask questions. Hunt for geometric shapes, patterns, and mathematical concepts hiding in plain sight. Team Ten characters and the STEM Squad lead the way with thought-provoking prompts that spark conversations between kids and grown-ups.     No reservations needed. Meet at Anderson Sculpture Garden by the Southwest door of Morrill Hall for this free STEM activity that gets families moving, thinking, and discovering together. Rain or shine—come ready to see art and numbers in a whole new way. Recommended for ages K-5.     Want the full experience? Pick up your own copy of Explore Art on Campus at Iowa State University ($25) from University Museums to continue your mathematical art adventures.   Free and open to all ages.
