Exhibit: A Practice in Shape, Blown Glass Works by Samantha Treankler

View Samantha Treankler's glass blowing exhibit: Practice in Shape; during the First Friday Art Walk June 5th from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Art Association. The show is a culmination of nearly 100 hours of collaboration with Tim Blair of Bloom and Bark Glass Blowing, made possible by The Iowa Traditional Art Apprenticeship Grant, funded by Iowa Economic Development and the National Endowment for the Arts. Samantha has been enamored by glass blowing since her days at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. During her travels she has had the opportunity to work with amazing glass artists across the country. She says of her exhibit, "The shapes for these objects are endless- as is my aspiration to continue to explore this provoking artform. I am so incredibly grateful for this formal platform to be able to showcase my work".
