That's the whole drive from Marion to this stage. blueeyeddaze is Alyssa Schlicht, a Marion songwriter whose songs are acoustic, direct, and built for a room that listens, and on Friday, July 17 she headlines The Ideal Theater & Bar in NewBo, Cedar Rapids for the first time. Her new single Broken Promises is out now, and Lying Eyes, the original she has carried for years, finally gets a room this close. The whole bill is ours: Cedar Rapids' own Jake Stack opens with an acoustic set, and The Cat Eyes turn the middle of the night up before she takes the stage. Doors at 7, show at 8, tickets are $16.
